Business Visitor

Canada Business visitors are those

 

  • plan to stay for less than 6 months

  • do not have a plan to enter the Canadian labour market

  • having business income and profits outside Canada

  • have a valid travel document, such as a passport

  • have enough money for entire stay and to return back home country

  • plan to leave Canada at the end of visit

  • are not a criminal, security or health risk to Canadians

 

Business visitor may perform following activities while in Canada:

 

  • buy Canadian goods or services for a foreign business or government

  • take orders for goods or services

  • attend meetings, conferences, conventions or trade fairs

  • give after-sales service as part of a warranty or sales agreement

  • training by a Canadian parent company

  • train employees of a Canadian branch of a foreign company

  • Under the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement, a U.S. or Mexican national may also take part in other activities, such as research, marketing and general services.
